The Ferris IS 5100Z powered by a 33.5-hp (model 3013C) Caterpillar diesel engine can now utilize B20 Biodiesel as an acceptable fuel source. The approval follows successful testing performed by Caterpillar. The results of those tests indicated trouble-free operation. The IS 5100Z features an environmentally-friendly sound package designed to absorb and reduce engine noise for improved operator and bystander comfort.

After much anticipation, Ferris released its newest species of mower to Abele Tractor & Equipment Co. Called the Evolution, it is a new compact zero-turn (CZT) mower in a category all its own. Featuring Ferris’ exclusive, patented suspension technology, this mower places the operator in the most ideal ergonomic position for mowing.

The mower deck features overlap welded corners, double thick top and double reinforced side skirts.
